Check out our exciting Large Animal Minor - click
here - to open a PDF document that lists the courses needed to
obtain the minor.
Students must meet the University's general education requirements
as well as the curriculum requirements in effect at the time of entrance
into a program.
The veterinary technology curriculum allows considerable flexibility
in designing your program. We encourage students to select minors
from a variety of fields that will enhance your Bachelors degree.
* Only students who have been accepted into the professional portion
of the program are allowed to enroll in these courses. For more information
about the limited enrollment requirements click on the word APPLICATION
** Each student must complete an externship in a veterinary facility.
The students are responsible for arranging their own externship; however,
we do provide a listing of previous externship sites. The site must
have a veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA accredited
program on staff, must fill out the externship questionnaire and be
approved by the program staff. The student is responsible for fulfilling
the required hours, keeping a journal, submitting two case histories
and evaluations by the appropriate deadlines in order to meet the
requirements for passing the externship. |
